Jay-Z continues his expansion into the UK market with the signing of rapper K. Koke to the Roc Nation label.
According to UK website Soul Culture, respected rapper K. Koke and his Suspect Entertainment inked a joint venture deal with Roc Nation/RCA to introduce the rapper to the world.
K. Koke, who hails from Stonebridge, North West London, joins a roster that includes J. Cole, Rihanna, Willow Smith, Cher Lloyd, Sean Garrett and others.
Jay-Z also recently tapped UK rap star Tinie Tempah for the official “Whip My Hair (Remix),” sparking rumors that Tinie also signed to the label, although Tinie has publicly stated that he is not signed to Roc Nation.
Suspect Entertainment was formed by the C.E.O.’s, Squingy and Krish in 2005, taking the label name from a street crew named Usual Suspects.
In addition to K. Koke, other artists on the Suspect Entertainment label include Froggy, Grams, Lefty, R9, Skeng, Capo, Bug, Gyro, Leokins, Lil Shan and others.
K. Koke is preparing to release Pure Koke Volume 2 and could be working on a collaboration with Roc Nation label mate J. Cole.
