Chicago rapper G Herbo is facing a felony count of aggravated unlawful use of a loaded weapon in a vehicle without a Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the 22-year-old MC, born Herbert Wright, was in a vehicle with two other men when he was stopped by law enforcement officials at 10:35 p.m. on Thursday (Feb. 22).

During the traffic stop, which occurred in South Loop, Chicago, each of the three men were found to be carrying a loaded gun. They were each hit with the same weapons charge and are expected to appear in bond court today (Feb. 23).

Herbo has made a name for himself in and out of Chicago, collaborating with such big name acts as Jeremih, Lil Durk, and Common. Last week, G Herbo unveiled the deluxe edition of his Humble Beast project, which features the remix to “Everything” featuring Chance the Rapper and Lil Uzi Vert.
