Frank Ocean’s year keeps getting better. The “Thinkin Bout You” singer has been announced as a performer for the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.

Ocean will make his VMA debut, delivering material off his critically-acclaimed album channel ORANGE. He is nominated for three awards including Best New Artist and Best Male Artist.

In addition, Rihanna has been officially announced as a performer. Last week, she leaked the news on Twitter.

Previously announced performers include Taylor Swift, Green Day, Pink, One Direction, and Alicia Keys, who will debut the title track off her upcoming album Girl on Fire. Additionally, 2 Chainz, Ke$ha, The Wanted, Andy Samberg, and Rashida Jones have been added to the list of presenters, which also includes Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, and Miley Cyrus.

Hosted by comedian Kevin Hart, the VMAs air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on September 6 at 8 p.m. EST.
