Frank Ocean is putting a peaceful end to his feud with Chris Brown. The “Thinkin Bout You” singer has decided to find forgiveness and not press charges.

Following their brawl that occurred last month at a recording studio in West Hollywood, Ocean spoke out about the incident in a letter on his blog.

“As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man,” wrote Ocean, who is nominated for six Grammys. “But as a man I am not a killer. I’m an artist and a modern person.”

He decided to let bygones be bygones and not press any charges or file a lawsuit.

“I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit.”

The decision wasn’t an easy one to make.

“Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace,” he said.

Frank suffered a cut finger, while Chris injured his hand during the altercation. Chris maintains that Frank started the fight by refusing to shake his hand, while an eyewitness claims Chris threw the first punch. Chris fled the scene and has yet to speak with police about the incident.
