When the trailer for “For Colored Girls” flashes across our TV screens, with “Four Women” playing in the background, we get chills. We’ve been dying to hear what other songs will accompany such a heavy film. On November 2, the wait will be over.

Atlantic Records released the official cover and tracklisting for the “For Colored Girls” soundtrack. The album features a long list of stellar singers, songwriters and performers — from Gladys Knight and Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings to Leona Lewis and Janelle Monae. And of course, there’s the remake of Nina Simone’s “Four Women,” with vocals from Simone, Laura Izibor, Ledisi and samples of Miss Nina herself.
