Despite Fantasia’s hospital visit last week due to a medication overdose, the “American Idol” alum is moving on to more progressive endeavors like promoting the release of her third album, Back to Me.

The North Carolina native will be experiencing a heavy workload with a bevy of upcoming television appearances including “Good Morning America” (Aug. 24), “Lopez Tonight” (Aug. 25), “Live with Regis and Kelly” (Sept. 9), BET’s “106 & Park” (Sept. 9), and “The Wendy Williams Show” (Sept. 10).

Though her personal life has turned into tabloid fodder recently, the 26-year-old singer appreciates those fans that stuck by her through the trying ordeal.

“I can’t thank my fans enough for their prayers and support during such a challenging time,” Fantasia said in a statement. “It has given me the motivation to get back to work and honor the commitments I made to promote Back to Me. I put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into this album and I pray that everyone enjoys it as much as I do.”

Back to Me, which features the ballad “Bittersweet,” is set for release nationwide on August 24.
