Drake is coming home. The Canadian rapper has been tapped to host the 2011 JUNO Awards, set to take place in his country of origin on March 27, 2011. The recent four-time Grammy nominee will serve as master of ceremonies during the broadcast on CTV, where he first got his start as a principal actor on “Degrassi: The Next Generation” almost a decade ago.

The Toronto native becomes one of the youngest-ever hosts of the JUNO Awards, building off his momentum last year after he dazzled the crowd with a performance with fellow Canuck Justin Bieber and took home the awards for Rap Recording Artist of the Year and New Artist of the Year.

“I am beyond honored to be hosting this monumental JUNO Awards in the greatest city on Earth,” said Drake in a statement. “I want to bring a youthful energy to the show and encourage people to be excited about what Canadian music has to offer. See you all at the show.”
