The rumor underworld is buzzing with word of an alleged scuffle at the Jay Z and Diddy MTV Video Music Awards after-party at NYC’s Dream Hotel last night (Aug. 25).

The D’ussé and Ciroc sponsored event was star-studded, with Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Leonardo DiCaprio, Drake and more witnessing the alleged melee between Roc Nation soldier J. Cole and the CEO of Bad Boy records, Sean “Diddy” Combs.

A witness at the PH-D rooftop lounge at the Dream Downtown told us,

“J. Cole was saying inappropriate things to Sean Combs and his girlfriend, Cassie. Sean immediately pounced. Some pushing and shoving happened. No punches were thrown, but it was a visible disturbance. A few bottles splashed to the floor and some partygoers were knocked over, falling on top of Renee Graziano from ‘Mob Wives.’ ”

The two allegedly exchanged words that turned into a physical altercation where J. Cole and Diddy roughed each other up. Seems like cooler heads prevailed and the party went on, yet without J. Cole in attendance as he was escorted out of the building.

Guess someone was on a “Power Trip”… Not much is confirmed on social media, but the legend of this so-called event will probably be seen in business more than anything else.

An onlooker claimed that Diddy immediately leaped towards J Cole and said that the duo pushed and shoved each other, though no punches were thrown.

Some guests at the party were reportedly knocked over and landed on Mob Wives star Renee Graziano.

Meanwhile, the New York Daily News claims that the scuffle prompted Beyoncé to scream at the duo to stop, while Jay Z stepped in to separate them and keep people away from his famous wife.

Following the argument, Diddy is thought to have taken to the microphone to urge people to relax and continue having fun, saying:

“It’s no big deal, it’s over.”

Diddy responds:

I usually don’t address rumors but I got too much respect for my bro @JColeNC. We are friends. We just yell in public sometimes LOL
