Damage Control: Delonte West is NOT Banging LeBron James’ Mom?

In case you were wondering… no, Delonte West is NOT banging LeBron James‘ mom! At least that’s what LeBron’s lawyer says…

An attorney representing LeBron is refuting reports alleging that his teammate Delonte West was having a sexual affair with his mother Gloria. In an e-mail obtained by TMZ, Frederick Nance, LeBron’s lawyer, says that the story, which originated from sports blog terezowens.com, is “categorically false and per se defamatory.” He also said “No thinking person could possibly believe such rubbish.”

The report — which also spread as a viral email — was supposed to explain the Cleveland Cavaliers’ playoff loss to the Boston Celtics with this theory: LeBron finds out about Delonte and his mom before game 4 … Cavs go on to lose games 4, 5, and 6 (and possibly LeBron).

The guys at terezowens tell us, “We think it’s a little fishy that they waited almost 4 days to fire this off.”  They say they stand by their source, and they’re consulting with their lawyers.  The story is still up on their site … for now. We also spoke to Keith Estabrook — a spokesman for the James family — who told us, “I will not dignify this with a comment.”

Even though they waited a while to release a statement, we still don’t think this story holds any truth to it. To us it sounds like something someone made up as an excuse as to why the Cavs lost the play-offs. Nothing more… nothing less.
