With Born Sinner in stores, J. Cole marked his album release day with a visit to “106 & Park.” He sat down with Bow Wow and Angela Simmons to discuss his sophomore album, “Dollar & A Dream Tour,” and dropping his album on the same day as Kanye West’s Yeezus.

“I’m trying to make a statement like, ‘Yo, I’m here for the new generation in hip-hop that can make classics too, so I just moved it up,” explained Cole.

Later in the day, he hosted an album signing at J&R Music World in NYC. Some of his most loyal fans stood out in the rain, reciting lyrics as they waited in line. He autographed CDs and even a pair of Jordans.

“5 hours signing albums. Thanks to everybody that showed up,” he tweeted.
