With Born Sinner in stores, J. Cole marked his album release day with a visit to “106 & Park.” He sat down with Bow Wow and Angela Simmons to discuss his sophomore album, “Dollar & A Dream Tour,” and dropping his album on the same day as Kanye West’s Yeezus.
“I’m trying to make a statement like, ‘Yo, I’m here for the new generation in hip-hop that can make classics too, so I just moved it up,” explained Cole.
Later in the day, he hosted an album signing at J&R Music World in NYC. Some of his most loyal fans stood out in the rain, reciting lyrics as they waited in line. He autographed CDs and even a pair of Jordans.
“5 hours signing albums. Thanks to everybody that showed up,” he tweeted.
On Wednesday morning, he stopped by Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” to discuss his “beef” with Diggy Simmons
(“It was kind of really embarrassing”)
his song “Let Nas Down,” and competing with Kanye.
