Several of Frank Ocean’s peers have voiced their support since he boldly revealed that his first love was a man—from his Odd Future groupmate Tyler, the Creator to Trina.

Now his collaborator Beyoncé has taken to her website to salute the “Novacane” singer for his brave announcement. In one of her “Bey Inspired” entries, the pop superstar shared words of encouragement over a black-and-white photo of the 24-year-old Ocean, who penned her ballad “I Miss You.”

Her sister Solange also showed her support.

“I salute you, brave soul. Independence Day. @frank_ocean,” she wrote, while Rita Ora tweeted, “Once a brave soul opens up life doesn’t seem as hard as you thought it was. @frank_ocean inspirational.”

Tyler, the Creator, known for his controversial lyrics, stood by his friend’s side.

“it was just funny cause i was getting bashed as a homophobe or whatever and i kept saying dude how am i one?” he said. “i have gay friends like what the f**k leave me alone haha. yeah thats my ni**a tho, shit is hard for him but he did that.”
