Who runs the world? According to TIME, it’s Beyoncé. The singer is among the magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World.

Following her husband Jay Z last year, the 32-year-old poses for one of the black-and-white covers of the iconic magazine, shot by Paola Kudacki.

Sheryl Sandberg praised Beyoncé for being a boss and role model to other women.

“She raises her voice both on- and offstage to urge women to be independent and lead,” wrote the COO of Facebook.

Bey looks to her own mother and daughter Blue Ivy as influential figures in her life.

“I feel like my mother and my daughter have been probably the most influential, and becoming a mother, looking at my daughter in her eyes, made me into a woman and made me very, very strong,” she said.

She was humbled to be included on the list.

“Shooting for TIME magazine was eventually one of the goals in my life,” she revealed. “It’s something important for me as an artist because it’s not about fashion or beauty or music. It’s about the influence I’ve had on culture and to be amongst the other influential people is a huge honor for me.”

Beyoncé joins an illustrious list that includes President Obama, Pope Francis, Serena Williams, Kerry Washington, Miley Cyrus, and Pharrell Williams.

Justin Timberlake penned a flattering letter about the “Happy” hitmaker.

“He made me fearless, and I’ve carried that with me the rest of my life,” said the pop superstar. “He injects that vibrant energy into the music in a way that you can feel.”

A proud Dolly Parton showered praise on her goddaughter Miley Cyrus, writing,

“She made her point, she made her mark, and more power to her.”
