Rick Ross fans won’t find Mastermind under the Christmas tree this year. The MMG chief has delayed the release of his album until 2014.

The sixth album from the Miami rapper was originally due December 17, but has since been pushed to the top of next year.

He announced the delay on the remix to

“No Games.” “Mastermind on the way, top of 2014,” he raps.

In an interview with DJ Scream on SiriusXM’s Hip-Hop Nation (via HHNM), he explained the delay.

“I’m still putting final touches on the album,” said Rozay. “To me, making that classic is more important than anything, making sure the streets overwhelmed by what I’m doing.”

He added,

“I’m trying to get it to you. If I don’t, I’ma get it to you ASAP.”

Also on deck for MMG in 2014 are new albums from Wale, Meek Mill, and Omarion.
