The 10th Annual BET Awards has just been wrapped and the winners list is unveiled. Beyonce Knowles brought home the top honor, Video of the Year. The “Single Ladies” singer earned it through “Video Phone” music video which features Lady GaGa.

Along with GaGa, Beyonce successfully beat B.o.B, Melanie Fiona as well as her rapper husband Jay-Z. Unfortunately, none of the female artists were present at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on June 27 to collect the coveted trophy.

Trey Songz also received an award, winning over Chris Brown, Raheem DeVaughn, Maxwell and Usher in Best Male R&B Artist battle. Though so, he had to let go Viewer’s Choice prize to Rihanna who shares it with Young Jeezy for their duet on “Hard”.

Other winners included Mo’Nique who won Best Actress, Idris Elba who was named Best Actor, Keke Palmer who grabbed Youngstars Award, and Dizzee Rascal who got Best International Act. Additionally, “Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire” was named Best Movie.

2010 BET Awards was hosted by Queen Latifah and featured performances from the likes of B.o.B, Alicia Keys, Eminem, Ludacris and many more. Among the special honorees were Prince for Lifetime Achievement Award and John Legend for Humanitarian Award.

“I do a lot of work fighting poverty in Africa, but even here in America in our communities, there is a fight we must win. we know we can do better, we know there are solutions,” John said. “Poverty doesn’t have to be a trap. There’s a lot of money, fame and influence and millions of people watching around the world. I say to all of us, we can do better.”
