Many have come to know Terrence J from his former co-hosting gig with BET’s video countdown show, “106 & Park,” and still more have become acquainted with the budding actor in films like “Think Like A Man.”
But if you still haven’t met him, E!’s setting up an introduction.
The actor/TV personality, who’s gone by Terrence J but whose full name is Terrence Jenkins, has officially joined new mom Giuliana Rancic as co-host for the entertainment network’s weekday broadcasts, E! announced Tuesday.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jenkins will be stepping into Ryan Seacrest’s former position, while the “American Idol” host stays on with E! News as managing editor.
“I’ve always had a passion for the wide spectrum of pop culture that E! News covers so well; I can’t wait to get started,” Jenkins said in a statement. “I’ve had a great career so far, and it’s all been building toward this. And then getting to work with great people like Giuliana and the entire E! News team just makes this seem like an even more perfect opportunity.”
The congratulations poured in from all corners of media, including from Seacrest himself.
“Proud to welcome @TerrenceJ to the team at @ENews. You’ll fit in well… considering all our doors are at least 5’9,” ” Seacreset joked on Twitter. And to Rancic, he kidded, “@GiulianaRancic keep the new guy @terrencej on his toes. Literally and figuratively .”
