Jay-Z already owns a stake in the Brooklyn Nets, and now he is extending his love for sports with a new venture. The Roc Nation CEO has been tapped to executive produce NBA 2K13.
In his new role, Mr. Carter will oversee the soundtrack for the latest installment in 2K Sports’ popular video game franchise. You can hear his Black Album cut “Public Service Announcement” in the 24-second trailer. His name also appears on the cover art for the game, which hits shelves on October 2.
This is just the latest business move for the hip-hop mogul, who appeared in a black-and-white commercial for Duracell Powermat earlier this month.
He has also teamed up with Budweiser for the first annual “Made in America” festival, which will take place in Philadelphia on September 1-2 with performances from D’Angelo, Rick Ross, Odd Future, Rita Ora, and more.
