TLC celebrated 20 years of history at the premiere of VH1‘s CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story on Tuesday night in New York City. Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, who executive produced the film, were joined by the cast including Lil Mama, Drew Sidora, and Keke Palmer.
Chilli’s son Tron and T-Boz’s daughter Chase shared the special moment with their mothers, as well as the legendary Diana Ross, who showed up to support her son Evan Ross, who plays Dallas Austin in the biopic.
Other star sightings included Missy Elliott, Melanie Fiona, Kandi Burruss, Christina Milian, and Ne-Yo, who penned “Meant to Be” for the movie and TLC’s new album 20.
K. Michelle was overcome with emotion after attending the screening.
“Keke Palmer, Drew Sidora, and Lil momma are truly killing these roles. I’m almost in tears. 2see these sister represent TLC is amazing to me,” tweeted the “V.S.O.P.” singer.
Questlove also shared his thoughts.
“Wow: just left the #CrazySexyCool premiere. As a cat who scrutinizes music biopics, I gotta say: this was enjoyable. The uncanny-ness: scary,” wrote The Roots drummer.
