Every week fans watch Tameka “Tiny” Harris hold down her household on VH1′s “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle,” but early fans will remember that before she married T.I., Tiny had a pretty successful music career singing in the 1990s R&B group XScape. Well, on Tuesday, Tiny returned to her musical roots when she posted her first solo music video “What the F— You Gon Do?” to YouTube.
The syrupy ballad finds Tiny pleading to an unavailable lover. While the song hits a familiar R&B theme (ride or die chick realizes her worth and gives her no-good man an ultimatum), the video made us look twice. Could Tiny be singing about her real-life multiplatinum rap husband?
In one scene Tiny is laying in bed with a man, who seems like a stand-in for Tip (though we never see his face) and in another scene she visits her lover in prison as she sings:
“Don’t be sleeping on me, because I don’t wanna ride out on you baby.”
Rumors about stability in the Harris’ relationship have been swirling for some time now. Last month, T.I. reportedly got into an altercation with boxer Floyd Mayweather and Tiny was in the center of it. Tip told MTV News his beef with Mayweather was a matter of respect, while the boxing champ said in a press conference on Friday that T.I.
“thinks I was f—ing his b—h.”
Tip opened up about his feelings as well on “Stay,” a track which appears to be about his better half.
“Man after everything we will never be the same/ Man I’m tired of tellin’ lies, know you sick of playin’ games/ I remember you got a tattoo, put my name on it,” he raps.
