California-based rapper Game recently collaborated with Beanie Sigel and Rick Ross on a track titled Heavy Artillery, which will be featured on his forthcoming album The R.E.D. Album, and according to the Compton MC, Sigel’s verse sent him back to the lab.
“I’m definitely a fan of Beans,” said Game while talking to MTV News about the making of the Beans/Ross co-starred track. “I did my verse first, sent it to them. Ross came back and I was still comfortable with my verse. Beans came back — rewrite!”
“[I had to] rewrite [my verse]. Sent [the track] back to Ross. Ross heard Beans: rewrite. Now we got what we need. Now everybody is on the same playing field. Beans, he sounds like he’s hungry, like he ain’t have his hair braided in six years and he ain’t ate in 10.”
The Philly lyricist has landed in the headlines over the past months behind his on-going one-sided beef with Jay-Z and most recently for shots he sent to Canadian rapper Drake. Sigel threatened physical harm to any MC who dare place the music mogul on their track with the knowledge that Jay is sending subliminals his way.
The R.E.D. Album will be released on August 24th and features production from Pharrell and Dr. Dre, amongst others.
