Two years after Love and War, Tamar Braxton is set to release her third album Calling All Lovers on September 11, and the date is intentional. The R&B diva wants her fans to commemorate the day with her music, and use it as a tool for reflection.

“It’s a very important day worldwide,” Tamar told Fox 5 NY. “I just feel like that’s the day you can reflect on your loved ones and loving yourself, and helping other people. So that’s why it’s called Calling All Lovers.”

The album contains odes to romantic love including the lead single “If I Don’t Have You.”

“In ‘If I Don’t Have You’ I have nothing to hide about how I feel. Before I was married I kissed a lot of frogs and ogres. I talk about those experiences candidly.”

When she’s not in the studio, Tamar can be seen on her WE tv reality series “Braxton Family Values” and co-hosting the daytime talk show “The Real.”

In an interview with Angie Martinez, she also opened up about performing with K. Michelle at the BET Awards.

“BET did put us together,” she said. “It wasn’t awkward—well, yes it was a little bit at first. She sang, I sang, we went home. We didn’t go out to dinner, we didn’t have drinks. It’s just no beef.”

She also talked about last year’s spat with Chris Brown.

“I felt like it was unfair because I’ve never had a beef with him. I was actually defending him. And he got upset with me. I love Chris Brown—always have, always will.”

After the interview, Breezy responded on Instagram, writing,

“Love you too babe.”
