“It’s been a wild year to say the least,”

said Robin Thicke during his hour-long interview on “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” which aired on Sunday. Six years after his first appearance on Oprah’s talk show, the R&B crooner reunited with the media mogul to discuss the best year of his career, his mega-hit “Blurred Lines,” his wife and son, and of course, the Miley Cyrus VMA controversy.

While he’s been in the business for over 10 years, it wasn’t until this year that he scored his first bonafide hit with the Pharrell and T.I.-assisted “Blurred Lines,” which topped the charts for 12 consecutive weeks.

With the song’s success, he experienced newfound fame. But despite the scrutiny, he is enjoying the ride.

“It’s really been the most magical year of my life,” he told Oprah.

His VMA performance with Miley Cyrus made headlines, but the 36-year-old singer distanced himself from the controversy.

“I’m the twerkee. I’m twerked upon,” he laughed.

Oprah asked him about his controversial quote in GQ about “degrading women”

(It was a joke that was taken out of context), touching a girl’s butt at a VMA after-party (“Everybody had a good time that night”), and his high school sweetheart-turned-wife Paula Patton, who he calls his “creative guru.”

In addition to the love of his life, nothing makes him happier than his three-year-old son Julian Fuego, who is already following in his father’s footsteps.

“He is our good luck charm,” said Thicke.

But the proud father isn’t looking to expand his family.

“We kinda knocked this one out of the park. I don’t think we can top little Julian,” he said.

Thicke is currently involved in a legal battle with Marvin Gaye’s family, who claims that “Blurred Lines” is a rip-off of “Got to Give It Up.”

“You know how weird it is to be in a legal battle with my idol, with the person who inspires almost half of my music?” he said.

Following the interview, he introduced Oprah to his adorable son.

“What do you say in daddy’s [‘Give It 2 U’] video?” Thicke asked Julian, who replied, “2 Chainz!”
