Just a few weeks after a tangle with Jeezy, Rick Ross has released a new song that seemingly takes aim at Slim Thug. King Boss, a track that wasn’t featured on his latest project, Teflon Don, mostly features the Miami-based MC talking about women but on one line he talks about a chick that left Thug for “the biggest boss.”
“I be in it for a minute/ She dated Slim Thug but now she f*ck with me,” raps Ross on the track. “She finally made it to the biggest boss, luckily/ Rick Ross, see my life dog, similar to Phife Dawg’s.”
Apparently the song mention took the Slim Thug by surprise as well. After hearing the track he sent a tweet to Ross’ official Twitter page asking what the deal was but Ross has yet to respond.
“WTF @rickyrozay is that a diss?” asked the Houston rapper.
There are a lot of ways one could take the line so it’s a little too early to declare war just yet but the track does add to a growing list of songs by the Def Jam rapper that rubs other rappers the wrong way.
In other news, Ross’ Teflon Don LP, which was released last month, has sold over 300,000 copies to date. The project was held back from the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart by Eminem’s Recovery album but has managed to remain in the top 20 for the past five weeks.
