She’s around. Following her release from prison in August, Remy Ma sat down to dish with Wendy Williams on Tuesday.
After arriving late due to traffic, the “Conceited” rapper discussed the first thing she did upon her release (take a shower), the first thing she ate (Popeye’s), and what she learned from her prison experience.
Remy, who served six years and four months behind bars, revealed that Wendy’s show was the root of a few physical altercations (the inmates were fighting over the TV). Remy acknowledged 50 Cent, who wrote letters to her PO on her behalf, and Keyshia Cole, who sent money for her son and lawyer. “She gave me thousands and thousands of dollars,” said Remy of the R&B singer.
She also shot down rumors of beef with Nicki Minaj. “We speak often and I’m very proud of her, and she wishes me the best and I wish her the best all the time,” said Remy.
Remy unveiled the cover art for her new mixtape I’m Around, which drops later this week. “It’s just something that I wanted to put out for the fans and the people that have been waiting six-and-a-half years for me to put out music while I’m working on the album.”
