If you’ve passed by the newsstands recently, you might have already seen actress Nia Long’s pregnant and nearly nude bod on the cover of Ebony’s November issue. With an up-do and natural makeup, the focus is on her glowing skin and baby bump. She may be the only nude mother-to-be on the cover of November issues (Harper’s Bazaar missed their opportunity with Beyonce), but she’s certainly not the first to flaunt her baby bump for a magazine cover.
In the accompanying interview, Long insists she has no issues about becoming a parent for the second time at the age of 41, telling Ebony,
“Society tells us ‘Get married before 30.’ I think if we just take our time as women, and do what comes natural to us and for us, we would make fewer mistakes.”
The actress confirmed reports she was expecting her basketball player boyfriend Ime Udoka’s baby in June. The tot will be a little brother or sister for Long’s 11-year-old son Massai, from her previous romance with actor Massai Z. Dorsey.
