Teyana Taylor and Travis Scott are the latest PAPER cover stars.
After wowing audiences in Kanye West’s “Fade” video, G.O.O.D. Music’s First Lady raises eyebrows once again with her stunning cover shoot.
Rocking Yeezy Season 4, a hat by Tomihiro Kono, and a bathing suit by Norma Kamali, Teyana shows different sides of herself. On the cover, she’s stoic; wearing letters on her body, she’s roaring; and in other dance-themed shots, she’s ever-so graceful.
But she looks most gleeful when paired with her daughter Junie, who wore her own stylish Baby Buddha Bug Wrap for the shoot. In the interview, she also reveals that her child has shown her that it’s possible to “have it all.”
“You can be superwoman,” she says. “You can have it all, that balance in your relationship, your family and your career. It’s the opposite of the cliché that says kids will slow you or your career down.”
Meanwhile, Travis Scott’s “Living for Fashion” in his cover shoot. Rocking Givenchy, Alexander Wang, Prada, Raf Simons, and Supreme, Scott also shares his various dimensions in the photo shoot.
In some shots, the Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight star appears shirtless and pensive. In others, he looks daring while jumping and climbing ladders. Elsewhere, he appears more mellowed out while rolling up some weed with silver fingertips.
In the issue, Scott explains that he’s got “more shit to do” and “a lot more to accomplish” while also saying he aspires to be more like his hero, Kid Cudi.
“He was like the guy that could rap, make a hook, and make a beat, and do a video and show you the life,” he adds. “That’s what I strive to be.”
