Kanye West linked up with some of the art world’s most creative minds during his visit to Art Basel in Miami on Wednesday. With Kim Kardashian by his side, the hip-hop superstar joined architect Jacques Herzog and curator Hans Ulrich Obrist as a panelist during Surface magazine’s “Design Dialogues” series.
He spoke to the crowd about his art background.
“I actually went to school for art,” said ‘Ye. “Sometimes I actually forget that except for when I do tour and I look back at the stage and I say, wait a second, I forgot. This is the whole trick that I pulled on everyone to make them think that I was a rapper or musician or celebrity, when the entire time it’s been a giant art project. Life has just been an art project.”
After Art Basel, the couple hit up the DuJour magazine event and partied with Lindsay Lohan at LIV nightclub at Fontainebleau Miami Beach.
His single “Bound 2″ jumps to No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, becoming the highest-charting hit off Yeezus.
