The decade’s biggest hip-hop stars gathered under one roof as Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine hosted the launch of Beats Music during Grammy weekend on Friday night. For over an hour, L.A.’s Belasco Theater was transformed into a hip-hop head’s dream as a ’90s rap playlist was brought to life curated by Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg.

Fab Five Freddy served as guest host with DJ Jazzy Jeff rocking the 1s and 2s. Ice Cube set things off with “It Was a Good Day” followed by Cypress Hill with “Insane in the Brain.” The Geto Boys, Souls of Mischief, and The Pharcyde brought a blast from the past with their classics.

Method Man and Redman tag teamed for “How High,” Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony brought back the “Thuggish Ruggish Bone,” and a dapper Nas performed “Nas Is Like” and “If I Ruled theWorld.”

The evening’s host, Dr. Dre, spread some “California Love” on stage before joining BLACKStreet for their 1996 hit “No Diggity.”

Harlem was in the house when Diddy and Ma$e touched the stage with “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down,” “Mo Money Mo Problems,” and “It’s All About the Benjamins.”

Busta Rhymes broke into a sweat while performing “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” and Eminem closed things out with his debut single “My Name Is.” Dressed in a hoodie, the Detroit rapper also shared the stage with his mentor for “Forgot About Dre” and had the crowd singing along to “Lose Yourself.”

At the end of the evening, a grateful Dre got on the mic to show his appreciation.

“I’d like to thank all of the incredible artists that came by,” said the Beats founder. “These are a lot of the classic songs that I really fu**in’ love and I hope ya’ll love ‘em too. I want to thank all you guys for coming out and supporting us with this Beats Music shit.”

Other star sightings included Drake, P!nk, Macklemore, Keyshia Cole, Nicole Scherzinger, Paul McCartney, Sevyn Streeter, and Queen Latifah.
