The stars showed up and showed out at the 2015 Costume Institute Benefit Gala aka the biggest fashion event of the year at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday. This year’s theme was “China: Through the Looking Glass,” and some stars decided to dress for the occasion, donning Asian-inspired ensembles, while others made their own fashion statements.

Beyoncé arrived last to the party, but still stole the show in a glittery Givenchy I Dream of Jeannie-inspired gown with blonde ponytail. A tuxedo-clad Jay Z looked especially happy alongside his hot date.

 

Rihanna turned heads in a dramatic yellow haute couture gown by Chinese designer Guo Pei. The train was so large that it required four people to carry it.

Kanye West stepped out in Balmain, while his wife Kim Kardashian stunned in a sheer Roberto Cavalli gown. Fresh off their provocative 3AM fragrance ad, Diddy and Cassie were one hot couple on the carpet.

 

Lady Gaga looked like a royal empress in Alexander Wang and Jennifer Lopez wowed in a red Versace number that showed off her famous assets.

Justin Bieber dressed dapper in Balmain, Rita Ora was red-hot in Tom Ford, and Alicia Keys rocked Jean Paul Gaultier.
