Nicki Minaj returned to her hometown of Queens, New York, for the launch of her fragrance “Pink Friday” at Macy’s. The “Freedom” rapper was dressed head to toe in her favorite color, rocking a curly blonde and pink wig. She greeted her Barbz before heading to Power 105 for an interview with DJ Clue.
“Had a blast @ my fragrance signing. Thank u guys so much for coming out!!!!!! Queens baby!!!!!!” tweeted Nicki.
The Young Money diva plans to launch her own label with artists including Brinx and British singer-songwriter Parker, who is featured on The Re-Up.
“It’s exciting because I think that I’m finally in a position to open doors for other people and it’s a great feeling because I feel like they’re so, so talented,” she told the AP. “Parker, he’s actually from London and he’s a writer, producer, singer … and I’m going to be putting out music with him at the top of the year. … Brinx was someone that I knew for a long time. I was rapping with him before I even got a deal and his skills have always been so exceptional.”
