Nicki Minaj’s Barbz camped out overnight to catch a glimpse of the rap superwoman on “Good Morning America’s” Summer Concert Series. Wearing her hair in a big blonde ‘do, Young Money’s First Lady took over Rumsey Playfield in New York’s Central Park to perform her hits including “Super Bass,” “Moment 4 Life,” and “Where Them Girls At,” biting on a turkey leg during “Till the World Ends (Remix).”
The New Yorker was thrilled to be back home.
“Being that I grew up in New York City, I never imagined myself playing in Central Park with a bunch of beautiful people like this, people that are so epic,” said Nicki, who suffered a wardrobe malfunction in the live broadcast. “I’m New York to the fullest!”
She also spoke to host Robin Roberts about touring with Britney Spears, wanting to work with Madonna and Lauryn Hill (“I used to say I wanted to marry Lauryn Hill”), what inspires her (“I hate lazy people”), getting animated in Ice Age 4, and her second album.
“As soon as I get off this tour, I’m headed to L.A. to work on that sophomore album—and it’s gonna be epic,” she announced.
