Lil Wayne’s rap protegee/princess Nicki Minaj has fired her manager after three years together.
The hip-hop star terminated her working relationship with Debbie Antney, boss of Mizay Entertainment, in a brief letter earlier this month, although the reason for her dismissal has not been revealed.
She tells Hip Hop Weekly magazine, “I received a letter, which was (a) suspension. The next letter that came in was a cease and desist in doing all business with Nicki Minaj from Nicki’s attorney.”
Debbie Antney is also the mother of rising atlanta rapper Wacka Flocka Flame .
She adds, “I love Nicki. I wish her the most success. It’s not about the music, she’s like one of my children… I wish her no harm, only much success.”
The news comes just days after Minaj pulled out of a planned tour with Rihanna and Ke$ha.
According to a source close to the Nicki Minaj camp exclusively tells 1HIPHOPUCIT.com that she’s looking to be represented by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation imprint not as an artist but a management deal. I guess we’ll see that would be a good look for her.
