New Music: Sevyn Streeter – “Shoulda Been There, Pt. 1”

While she readies her debut On the Verge, Sevyn Streeter holds fans over with her new project Shoulda Been There, Pt. 1. The 13 tracks, half of which are interludes, include the Chris Brown-assisted single “Don’t Kill the Fun,” “Boomerang” with Hit-Boy, and the title trackfeaturing her boo B.o.B.

“If I experience it, I write it and I make a song out of it,” says Sevyn. “And that’s what these records are…so I just kinda want to let ya’ll into the last year-and-a-half of my life and let’s talk about it.”

Her album On the Verge is due later this year.

“As a creative being, I just had to release this music before my debut album in order to really move on with my life!” explains Sevyn. “So consider this new project the prelude or an appetizer before the main course.”
