The rap veteran returns with her summer banger “Reload” featuring Jamaican dancehall legend Konshens, which marks her first new music in six years.

On the empowering ladies anthem, Eve puts herself first.

“Don’t go for that bullshit no more / You better without him, for sure,” she raps on the reggae-tinged track, while Konshens adds his infectious flow.

“I love reggae so much,” said Eve. “I’ve been going to Jamaica since 1999 and anyone that knows me knows that you’ll find me in a corner with my reggae on, dancing. We wrote the line before [Konshens] was involved [‘Fu**ing up my conscience / Listening to Konshens’] — I’m just glad he was feeling it!”

Eve, who moved to London’s Notting Hill over five years ago, has been inspired by the U.K. music scene. She is now reading a new project, her first since 2013’s Lip Lock.
