The year of Illmatic XX continues. In honor of the 20th anniversary of his debut album, Nas will embark on a North American tour.
The month-long trek kicks off October 2 in Rochester, New York, and coincides with a special screening of his documentary, Nas: Time Is Illmatic.
Before each show on the tour, Nas will screen the film followed by a performance of Illmatic from start to finish.
Nas: Time Is Illmatic will open theatrically at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on October 1. It will be availableon demand and iTunes starting October 3.
The tour and the theatrical release of the film caps off a year-long celebration of Illmatic. In April, Nas released a 20th anniversary edition of the album called Illmatic XX.
