Snoop Dogg starts a rasta revolution on “Here Comes the King,” the latest release as his reggae reincarnation Snoop Lion. The West Coast rapper sings in a Jamaican patois over the psychedelic beat, produced by Major Lazer, Ariel Rechtshaid, and 6Blocc.
Snoop channels the late Bob Marley on his upcoming album Reincarnated, which traces his spiritual journey during his time in Jamaica, with production by Diplo and the Major Lazer team.
“Anytime the spirit calls you, you gotta know that it’s serious and it’s real,” said Snoop. “When the spirit called me, it told me to find something that was connected towards the Bob Marley spirit. Because I’ve always said that I was Bob Marley reincarnated.”
