Rico Love has earned his bragging rights. The super-producer behind hits for Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Usher unleashes a boastful remix to Rick Ross and Jay Z’s “Devil Is a Lie.” On the three-minute freestyle, Mr. Turn the Lights On raps about popping champagne and signing to his own label, while paying respect to the late DJ Nando.
“Puff should’ve signed me / When I was 19, I was raw then / Now I’m more raw, but I’m rich / Got a car big enough to fit another ni**a car in,” spits Rico over the horn-heavy instrumental.
His EP Discrete Luxury is available now, while his full-length debut Turn the Lights On is due later this year.
