In response to the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, Mike Posner pens a touching tribute to the 20 children and 6 adults who were killed. The Detroit singer dedicates “Heaven” to the victims’ families and tries to remain positive despite the somber circumstances.
“Maybe this will make sense in heaven ’cause right now it don’t make sense at all,” he sings over the acoustic track.
“I wanted to do SOMETHING for the victims’ families. I wrote this song because I didn’t know what else to do,” explained Mike. “Today makes no sense…God has blessed me with this gift and it felt wrong not to share it. I hope this song finds its way to proper ears.”
