Singer/actress Queen Latifah, Keke Palmer & country music’s very own Dolly Parton are starring in an upcoming film this winter called Joyful Noise. In the musical dramedy, Latifah and Parton play two church choir members who share opposing views on how to take their little town choir to the top of a national gospel choir competition.

Palmer plays Queen Latifah’s daughter who later catches the eye of Parton’s grand-son, who also has some vocal chops of his own. Law & Order‘s Jesse L. Martin and Courtney B. Vance also co-star in the film.

Kind of reminds me of Sister Act, just without the nuns, Lauryn Hill and 90s outfits Lol Check out the trailer below. Joyful Noise hits movie theaters January 13, 2012.
