M.I.A. Leaves Roc Nation

Out with the old, in with the new. M.I.A. is saying goodbye to Roc Nation in 2013.

The “Paper Planes” hitmaker has parted ways with Jay Z’s company, which has been managing her since May 2012.

She made the announcement on Twitter.

“2013 i dlted old tweet to bring u this. im leaving @RocNation,” tweeted M.I.A. “Thank to everyone who supported the M.I.A #MATANGI LP. HAPPY NEW YEAR | 2014.”

In November, she released her fourth album Matangi, which was ranked as the 10th best album of the year by TIME magazine.

Roc Nation is home to stars including Rihanna, Shakira, Wale, Meek Mill, and Kylie Minogue.
