Meagan Good is officially off the market. After two years together, the “Think Like A Man” actress and her fiance DeVon Martin — a movie exec. for Columbia Pictures and a preacher — tied the knot over the weekend at a winery in Malibu, California, People Magazine confirmed.
Among the 400 guests at the couple’s Spanish and bayou-themed wedding ceremony were Tracey Edmonds, Derek Luke, Deion Sanders and Tasha Smith.
According to People.com, Meagan walked down the aisle to “These Arms” (performed by Jeffrey Lewis of the Craig Lewis Band) in a custom-made R-Mine gown with a purple dipped train.
“I didn’t want girly,” Good said of her dress. “I wanted handsome. It’s got a bit of a masculine feel to it. I wanted something that felt a tad bit rebellious and out of the ordinary. That felt closer to my personality.”
Good described her wedding as an
“enchanted and dreamy sunset ceremony,” which was accented with purple roses, tulips and rustic gold. “It was very antique looking,” she said.
At the reception, while Shanice sang “Loving You” in honor of the special day, guests dined on a Southern Girl Desserts cake with flavors ranging from sweet potato, banana cream pie and peach cobbler.
According to the groom, instead of starting a family right away, the newlyweds want to
“get to know each other as husband and wife.” The bride added, “We want to make sure that when we bring a child into this world we give it our full attention.”
The newly married couple plan on having a “mini-moon” in Big Sur, and will have their real honeymoon around the holidays when Good wraps filming on her new NBC show “Infamous.”
“There is so much going on,” she adds. “But it’s wonderful to have a partner to have so much fun with!”
30-year-old Meagan Good and 33-year-old DeVon Franklin began dating two years ago after meeting each other in 2009 on the set of the movie “Jumping the Broom,” which the former starred in and the latter produced.
Good — who says she will keep her name professionally, but will legally become “Meagan Franklin” — previously revealed that the couple chose to remain celibate until the night of their wedding … so we’re sure their ‘first time’ together was extra special!
