Lil Wayne fans will have to wait until next year to hear the New Orleans superstar’s repeatedly delayed follow-up to 2008’s Tha Carter III.
Universal Records has confirmed that Weezy’s experimental album, Rebirth, has been pushed back to 2010. Cash Money co-founder Birdman made an announcement on his twitter account earlier today that said the disc was moved to February 1, but reps for Universal did not reveal a specific release date.
Wayne’s new LP, which has been reported to feature more rock-inspired material, has faced a slew of different drop dates throughout the year, with the earliest one tracing all the way back to last April.
Despite the change of plans, Wayne’s Young Money camp is still set to release its debut compilation album on December 21.
