After a slight setback, Lil Wayne is finally ready to release his much-anticipated mixtape Dedication 4.
The Young Money rapper announced the release date for the DJ Drama-hosted project via Twitter. “D4 aug-30,” tweeted Weezy.
Originally due August 15, the fourth installment in his Dedication series was delayed out of respect for his friend 2 Chainz, who dropped his debut Based on a T.R.U. Story last week.
He also admitted that the tape wasn’t finished in time because he’s been skating.
“I ain’t even gonna lie. I didn’t even finish that motherfu**er,” said Tunechi in an online video. “I’ve been skating and shit, falling and breaking shit, and all that type of shit.”
Nicki Minaj recently confirmed that she will be on the Gangsta Grillz release, which will also feature remixes to 2 Chainz’ “No Lie,” Ca$h Out’s “Cashin’ Out,” Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like,” and Meek Mill and Big Sean’s “Burn.”
