Connie Hatch, mother of incarcerated rapper Lil Boosie shared several details about her son’s current situation in a recent interview. Boosie is incarcerated on drug and weapons possession charges while facing first degree murder charges for his alleged role in a murder-for-hire plot. Boosie, born Torrence Hatch, is also accused of smuggling codeine into two Louisiana prisons.
Boosie is on 23 hour lockdown until December of this year and he has been since June. He’s not allowed to have contact with anyone except his legal counsel. Boosie’s mother also revealed that no rappers have visited Hatch since he’s been in prison.
“No. Not one. Not one rapper. The only person I have spoken with is Young Jeezy,” Ms Hatch told OnWaxMagazine. “I heard from him but he hasn’t done anything as of yet. But the rest of them, you hear from them, but when you call them, they know my number so they don’t respond. My child was not like that. He gave to everybody.”
Ms. Hatch also blasted Boosie’s Trill Entertainment label mates Webbie, Foxx and Lil Phat. She says that she and her son haven’t seen any money from the label, despite “Free Lil Boosie” parties being thrown under the pretenses of raising money for the rapper’s defense.
“We haven’t reaped any money from any Free Boosie Concerts,” Ms Hatch said. “Not any. Not even his children. They have people thinking that this concert is being sponsored to help Torrance. I contacted them about nine months ago and one of the guys told me it’s not true. But I found out because I received flyers from people in different states.”
