Newcomer on the scene, Miss Lore’l has a bold lyrical ability that is a breath of fresh air on the female Hip Hop scene. Originally Monica Torres of Brooklyn, New York, she is not only a cast member of Love & Hip Hop NY, but she is breaking through the industry making her name known. Her latest debut EP, Leading Lady, is hosted by DJ Ill Will and co-starring manager Angela Yee. The EP is a fun and “keep it funky” way to address her presence. There aren’t too many female rap names to drop currently and Lore’l brings that genuineness and creativity in her music. She brings the excitement in her songs. The commentary alongside Angela Yee is downright hilarious. Torres is enjoying her success in her young 20s and pushing a fly new Bentley to prove her growing abilities. Not to be confused by her sweet sounding voice, she goes in full force with no remorse and murders careers that haven’t started yet.
Lore’l was exposed to music at a very young age and she landed work with Sony Music in Promotions and Marketing at 16. From there, the rest is mostly history. In Leading Lady, she exposes the truth on the men she has come across without mentioning anyone specifically. The woman to woman talks with Yee adds the spicy flavor that makes you want to listen over and over. Lore’l’s interview with Power 105.1 shows her real self but when Charlamagne asked for a freestyle, she had no problem spitting bars immediately without a single mistake. The project is full of interchangeable beats and a flow that attracts both sexes. A solid Hip Hop artist that belongs in the spotlight will have everyone saying “Looorreee’lllll” by the end of her EP. Available for download at DatPiff.com -Free @InkStains_
