Celebrity donations are pouring into Haiti after hurricane Matthew. Jamaican track and field superstar Usain Bolt donated $10 million towards a rebuilding effort after the nation was devastated last week.
The storm left over 600 dead, over 3,200 homes destroyed, and displaced over 15,000 people. This is the country’s worst humanitarian crisis since the earthquake over six years ago.
Rapper Jay Z expressed his gratitude for Bolts donation and announced that he and superstar wife Beyonce will donate $15 million to the Usain Bolt foundation, which focuses on rebuilding homes.
Several institutions and individuals are pouring donations into the country to help the country out of this crisis.
