Jay-Z is among the celebrities named in an internal investigation being conducted by the Washington, D.C. Police Department, for receiving police escorts from Washington, D.C. officers.

The Hip-Hop mogul, along with actor Charlie Sheen and Bill Gates, is among the celebs named in the internal investigation, which aims to put a stop to the escorts, which are a violation of department protocol.

According to WTOP, D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said that the escorts are supposed to only be utilized top officials and foreign dignitaries.

“It’s president, vice president, visiting heads of state, mayor and others if there’s a public safety issue,” Police Chief Lanier said.

DC Council member Phil Mendelson is considering a hearing on the issue, over conflicting reports from the Police Department about the nature of the police escorts.
