Janet Jackson has split from her third husband, Wissam Al Mana, just three months after welcoming their first child.
The cause of the divorce is unknown. However, reports indicate that the couple recently came to an agreement over the separation, according to TMZ.
Al Mana, a Qatari businessman, is the 50-year-old songstress’ third husband following René Elizondo, Jr. and James DeBarge. Jackson secretly married Al Mana in 2012.
Jackson’s marriage to Elizondo made news in 2000, after it was revealed that they had been secretly married from 1991 through 1999. At the time, Elizondo filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
In 1984, Jackson married DeBarge when she was only 18. That marriage ended in an annulment just a few months later. In November of 2016, DeBarge claimed he and Jackson had a “secret daughter.”
“I’m tired of the secrecy,” DeBarge said during an episode of WE tv’s “Growing Up Hip Hop.” “I’m tired of the truth not coming forward, and people being a coward when it comes to it. And I thought it was wise for me to speak out now because it needs to be addressed.”
Jackson and Al Mana have one son together, three-month-old Eissa, whom they welcomed back in January.
According to People, Jackson and her baby boy are doing “really good” and she “absolutely loves” motherhood.
