Janelle Monáe rocks the TV airwaves in the fun and feel-good video for her new single “Dance Apocalyptic.” The spunky singer trades her updo for long hair as she jams with her all-female band on an “American Bandstand”-type show.

The song will appear on Janelle’s sophomore album The Electric Lady, due September 10. The eclectic project is set to feature Prince, Miguel, and Erykah Badu.
