Ja Rule is headed to TV. MTV has picked up the half-hour, comedic docu-series “Follow the Rules” starring the rapper-turned-actor and his family. The show centers around the hectic household that Rule and his wife Aisha are trying to keep under control, and includes his two teenage sons, their college-age daughter, and Ja’s mother and mother-in-law.
“Ja Rule is the modern day reality rap star version of Bill Cosby’s role from ‘The Cosby Show.’ He embraces a unique parenting style with his teenage kids that feels fresh and funny,” said Susanne Daniels, President of MTV Programming. “We’re excited to be in business with him and his delightful family.”
“I am truly honored and excited to be partnering with MTV and 51 Minds to bring you my new show ‘Follow the Rules,’” said Rule. “Family tradition will never be the same b*tch… Lmao!!!”
“Follow the Rules” is executive produced by Christian Sarabia, Jeffrey Atkins, Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere, and Irv Gotti.
